Welcome
to Our Site
Our mission . . . provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer blanketeers.
As of December 31, 2024, our chapter has donated over 108,580 blankets since the chapter began in November 2004. 7,929 of those were donated in 2024.
We are the Collin, Cooke, Grayson, & Rockwall Counties of Texas Project Linus Chapter dedicated to comforting kids with security blankets. We provide new, handmade blankets to critically ill and traumatized children.
Our mission is to distribute blankets to comfort children in our area by delivering new handmade security blankets that are sewn, quilted, knitted, or crocheted. They must be washable and in kid friendly colors and/or patterns. Once these blankets are given to the children, most of them never put them down because they provide so much comfort and security for them in a life that has been turned upside-down by illness or accident.
